The Problem: Acadia University was looking for a way to connect multiple classrooms and campuses together using Zoom.US. Zoom.US was catching on so quickly with both faculty and staff, Acadia needed to find a way to provide High Quality USB video conferencing equipment between classrooms. Without a budget to install video conferencing equipment in every room, they decided to build (2) mobile video conferencing carts: one Dual Display and one Single Display video conferencing cart model.
The Solution: Knowing Zoom.US will handle both single and dual display installations Acadia started with a super fast Mac Mini for the brains of the operation or “Soft Codec”. They selected VFI’s MC-1000 video conferencing cart made with stainless steel durable material and features two easy to use handles which enhance mobility. For the camera they chose the HuddleCamHD 10X for Optical Zoom, Presets, and 1080p video quality. The microphone solution chosen was Phoenix Audio Quattro 3. When it comes to the web video conferencing software market everybody know whos Zoom.US is… Or at least everybody should know at this point. Zoom.US is a game changing online meeting software that can scale from 25 meeting participants all the way up to 100’s of video callers. Zoom.US starts at just $10 per month and they have made a HUGE splash in the industry.
Zoom.US is now offering a “Zoom Room” package that integrates wireless presentation, room schedule management and video conferencing all into one solution. Currently Zoom offers this package with a Mac Mini and USB camera and a USB Microphone.
Zoom.US and HuddleCamHD are long time partners and when the HuddlePod Air became available Zoom immediately started testing with great success. Today the HuddlePod Air is the suggested wireless USB speakerphone for small to medium sized Zoom Rooms.
